IFA consolidator and wealth manager Tavistock has recruited Lighthouse Group manging director manager Mark Evans as director of business development as it expands and integrates acquisitions.
Assets under management within the group more than doubled last year to a total £690 million as it secured several major deals, buying regional networks Abacus and Price Bailey Financial Services.
The company now serves 70,000 retail clients and manages £540 million in discretionary funds.
Evans will work alongside chief executive and former Wealth Manager coverstar Brian Raven who said he was ‘delighted’ at the appointment.
‘He is a very experienced strategic thinker who understands both the market in which we operate and our aspirations as a business,’ he added.
Evans had worked at Lighthouse since 2012, where he consolidated several divisions and helped drive adviser earnings.
He had previously managed his own IFA/broker from launch in 1996, both in the UK and serving the British expat community in Portugal.
Evans said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Tavistock Investments who offer an innovative range of high-class investment management and distribution capabilities that many companies throughout the UK will be interested in partnering with.’
